The idea began with a car Eddie Brown was repairing for his daughter’s friend, a single mother. His son, Sam, mentioned that his automotive class needed vehicles to practice on. Brown saw a way for those lessons to reach beyond the classroom.

He connected with Louisa County High School, where students began restoring donated cars for mothers who needed reliable transportation. Brown and his wife, Ginny, had founded Giving Words to support families facing difficulties.

On October 7, 2026, students helped give another completed car to a local mother. The partnership brought their classroom work into the everyday life of a family.

For a parent, a dependable car can make a work shift, a school pickup, or a medical appointment possible. For the students, meeting the person who will drive it gives their developing skills a purpose they can see.

Their work continues wherever that car takes a family next.
