In New Orleans, volunteers came together to bring food, health services, and practical support to older residents.

For many older people, a little help can make an enormous difference.

In New Orleans, more than 40 volunteers joined forces on October 13 to support senior residents facing everyday challenges.

Working with Second Harvest Food Bank, the New Orleans Saints, Ochsner Health, and Entergy, they packed 1,120 meal boxes for distribution to residents of the Guste

High Rise.

But their efforts went beyond food.

Residents were also offered free blood pressure and glucose screenings, alongside advice on reducing household energy costs.

Former Saints players joined volunteers in the effort, turning an ordinary day into an opportunity to give back.

The result was something simple but meaningful: essential support delivered through a community working together.
