Keshia Stirgus had a specific goal: to walk down the aisle when she renewed her wedding vows. Following hospitalization and health complications, she had spent three years using a wheelchair and expected to decorate a walker for the occasion.

At home, physical therapist assistant Keri Page helped her build strength, balance, and standing endurance. Music became part of their sessions, giving Keshia another reason to keep moving.

After five months, Keshia walked through the ceremony without a walker or wheelchair. At the reception, she used a cane and danced. When Keri watched the video, she cried. A goal they had worked toward together had become a celebration.
